When I made these I thought of them as embellishments first but they would also make some cute cupcake toppers. They are cut from textured cardstock. I used a 1 ½” EK Success circle punch and cut it in half to make 2 pieces for the stroller. I took one of the pieces and cut it in half to make the top of the stroller. I cut the handle for the stroller and used buttons and/or mini paper circles for the wheels.

Here are some cute baby umbrella embellishments. I used 3 different punches (2” Scallop Punch, mini teddy bear punch, and a 1 ½” circle punch) to make these. I used a scallop punch as a backing for the umbrella so it could be used as a cupcake topper.

I cut 3 circle punches in half and layered 3 of them to shape the umbrella. I punched out 3 mini teddy bear shapes out of pink textured cardstock and glued them onto the umbrella. On the blue umbrella I punched out some teddy bear shapes and filled them with blue mini teddy bear punches from a different color. I think punching the shapes out of the umbrella allows for better alignment of the teddy bears as opposed to gluing them onto the umbrella one by one.

When you create with paper it seems like the possibilities are endless. I love to create Meople’s because they are so customizable. This couple is created from paper and assembled with PVA glue. Her dress is made up of ribbon, paper and a little bit of glitter. For her veil I used a small piece of fringe and for the flowers I hand cut them out of tiny pieces of paper and glued them together to make up the bouquet. For him I cut his Tux circle punch shapes and assembled. It took me a couple of times to get the tux right but I think it turned out ok. He sort of reminds me of a Lego man! The characters that make up my Meople’s collection are always fun to make and I think they are so cute!

I spent the last half of this year exploring paper crafts and finding inspiration everywhere. With all of the DIY tutorials online I just wanted to make everything I could. Since I didn’t have a lot of money to buy every family member gifts this year I decided that I should make gifts. I wanted to make some cute girly gifts for my little cousins for this Christmas. They are between the ages of 6-10.

I thought of some cute little items and put them together in a homemade gift package. In spite of making gifts for my cousins I thought I’d try and sell some too to make some extra money. My handmade gift package included 15 items and most of them are made by me, but some were slightly altered, or store bought.

I used a box what I’d bought a long time ago and used it to display the handmade gift package. I gave it to my mom so she could show it to some of her co-workers. Some of my mom’s co-workers purchased my handmade gift packages for their daughters. I sold each package for $20.00.

I hope the girls like the gifts because I really worked hard on them but if they don’t at least I got paid for it. I might be able to do packages like this in the future but I don’t know. I learned a lot about selling handmade crafts. It is super important to have some kind of plan or guideline in order and stick to it. I don’t know how many times I changed my mind about things from which color of paper to use for the stationary and what kind of package I would put them in. I had fun making the gifts. I’ve thought about it a lot and realized that on Christmas morning or the night before someone will open a gift that I made especially for them and that makes me feel good!

I hand cut these envelopes and let me tell you it takes a long time! I made over 80 of these little time consumers. First you have to cut them out, then fold them and lastly glue the sides down.

I love clothespins just the way they are because you can use them for almost anything. I especially like using them on bag of chips and for hanging things on the fridge. I made these clothespin magnets and covered them with pieces of scrap paper and/or ribbon. I applied a layer of Mod Podge to give them the glossy look. I used epoxy to glue the magnets to the back. I made 40 in all. I also included 2 mini clothespins in the gift package. I wanted to make it clear that I wasn’t charging for them because they are so little that if you keep messing with them they break easily. They should be used for decorations only. Can you believe that I covered these tiny clothespins with paper? It wasn’t’ hard but I only decorated 1 of the two.

I bought these mini wooden spools from Acmoore. I searched all over the store for them and finally found them in the wood craft section. I got a bag of 20 or so for about two dollars. I also ordered a pack of decorative tape from a cute little shop on Etsy.com. It was a pack of 3 polka dot patterns (pink, purple and blue). I rolled about 2 ft. of the deco tape onto each spool by hand. I didn’t want to just give them one color so I rolled 1 ft. of pink and 1 ft. of purple. I folded the end of the deco tape and cut it to make it look like a flag.

I bought ink pads from Wal-Mart and Acmoore because they didn’t have all girly colors. I have 2 mini flower and heart paper punches.  I used them to punch the shapes out of foam to make mini foam stamps. I used foam board as a mount for the mini stamps.

I bought a pack of glue sticks (8 in a pack) from the dollar store. For the pack of paper embellishments I punched out a bunch of shapes that they could use for the chipboard binder (listed below). I have a bunch of EK Success punches and used different cardstock and patterned paper for embellishments.

I wanted to personalize the handmade gift package so I picked out some cool girly fonts and typed up the names of the girls in Photoshop. I bought a pack of adhesive printer paper, printed out the names and made cute little personalized stickers. For the bookmarks I used a butterfly stamp of my favorite butterfly (Eastern Tiger Swallowtail) in different inks.

I bought 5 different sheets of girly fabric from Wal-Mart to use for the button earrings and ring set. I thought the scallop shape would be a great way to display the set.

making these little books because I think they are so cute! I love the fabric they are covered with. I don’t remember what the fabric is called and I hate that because when I went back to Wal-Mart to buy some more they didn’t have any left. I went on Google and typed in doodle heart fabric but found nothing helpful. I didn’t think I would find anything but I wanted to at least try. I like this fabric so much because you can color the hearts. I made one for myself and colored all of the hearts with Sharpie markers. For the ones I sold I made a point to color at least one heart on the cover to let them know that they could color the rest.

This binder has 120 pages in all if you count both sides of the page. I tried to fill the book with pretty paper. I used girly colors and different patterns with bunches of flowers, hearts and glitter. I put hot pink post-it note in the inside and I also punched out shapes on some of the pages with my mini punches from EK Success which I included in their pack of paper embellishments.

Here’s how everything looked once it was packed up and ready to be wrapped.

Since these packages were for Christmas I thought maybe I would use Christmas paper but I couldn’t resist using this Kraft polka dot wrapping paper.  I love this wrapping paper because it screams “Girly” and it so pretty!

I used pink or purple baker’s twine to wrap around the package and a cute little 2″ scallop punch to write the girls name.

It took a whole lot of work to get these packages done and it was all worth it! :)

I bought these stamp sets by Studio G from Wal-Mart for a dollar each.  These are great stamps for kids who want to get creative. I used these stamps to decorate some mini white envelopes.

What you need:

I bought these wrapping paper rolls at the Dollar store.

My favorite is the pink and brown polka dot style.

I love Photoshop and I’ve used it for several years now. Besides editing photos one of my favorite things to do in Photoshop is to make brushes. You can make brushes out of anything. I’ve made Photoshop brushes out of pictures but mostly stuff that I’ve drawn. By drawn I actually mean doodled. I love to doodle and find myself doing it mostly when I talk on the phone or when I’m bored. Here are some pictures of my brushes.

I love bakers twine! I wanted some girly colored twine for some future girly projects so I decided to look on Etsy. I found some pink and purple twine at a shop called GlitterandKitsch. Below is a picture of what I received in my order. It was neatly packaged and just what I was looking for.
